Guess who's back with a brand new rap, and yes by rap we do mean child molestation accusations.

In all seriousness though, after a lengthy period of absence Bodyboarding WA has returned, better than ever... we hope.

So what's new and what's changed? Well it's still run by the same group of people as before, with the same incredible level of er... dedication. But it's probably easier just to list things off;

Stuff that's changed that you'll notice
1. We're using different software to run the website now, it's a lot more stable (so all those screwups that used to leave the pictures gallery not working for weeks at a time, or accounts randomly disappearing etc. won't happen anymore), it's also a lot nicer to look at and easier to use.
2. We've completely changed the layout - we think it looks better, your mileage may very.
3. The forum software is slightly different now as well. Unfortunately it doesn't quite look as good at the moment, which is something we're working on, but it works a lot better than the old stuff. Also every article automatically creates a forum thread were it can be discussed now, whether or not this is a good thing remains to be seen at the moment.
4. The profile pages is a huge difference between this site and the old one. They're actually worth looking at now, you can add display pictures, heeps of information about yourself, it'll automatically link to your pictures gallery (which you can also create your own quickly and easily now), you can have a blog and you can also setup connections between you and friends you've got on Bodyboarding WA in a MySpacey kinda way.
5. The pictures gallery is using a different system, again more stable and easier to use than the old one. It also allows you to create your own picture gallery easily and fill it with your own images - either of you surfing or naked or whatever.
6. We have a shop now. Kind of. You can, or rather will soon be able to, buy all sorts of Bodyboarding WA merch. through Cafepress, we haven't quite got it all sorted out and ready yet but we'll let you know when we do. Best part about it is because of the strong Aussie dollar all the stuff is REALLY cheap at the moment.

Stuff that hasn't changed
1. We're still all about just having a good time. We still don't take ourselves too seriously, still don't give too much of a shit what anybody else thinks of the site and just want you guys to have a good time and enjoy it.
2. We're still all about user submitted content, so if you've got an article or two, some links, any sort of suggestion or anything that you think would make the site better in any way then please This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it and let us know.
3. Cam's still a little girl when it comes to the forums, but he's promised to try and behave this time.

You may notice we're a little low on content at the moment; that's because we've started pretty much from scratch. We lost everything when the website went down last time and were only able to scrounge together a few bits and pieces that we had lying around. So if you've got any content for us then please, follow the link above and e-mail it through to us. You'll also probably notice a few things don't quite look as they should do, a couple of the site messages sound kinda gay and stuff like that - we haven't totally finished tweaking the layout and the stuff that makes the site tick but for the most part it's fully operational which is why we've decided to come back online now instead of wait.

More changes and new features and old ones that are missing etc. will become apparent over the next couple of weeks as we straighten things out but on the whole the Bodyboarding WA you see now is how it'll more or less stay, at least for a while. We've also taken steps this time to make sure we can't get royally donkey raped by our host again and end up with absolutely nothing.
