I've just noticed about a dozen people may be having trouble activating their accounts so they can actually login (or maybe they just can't be fucked, I'm not sure). Quite a few of them are old names that are returning, which is nice to see. The reason I've put the e-mail activation system in place is to try and prevent people from spamming the forums - within like two days we already had a bunch of shit posted in there and that kind of thing can snowball really quickly and just get out of control, before we know it the forums are ruined. By requiriing that you click a link in an e-mail we send you it makes it a lot more difficult for people to do that.
So, if anybody is having any problems please e-mail me (
This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it
) and I can manually activate your account for you, it only takes about 2 seconds. Otherwise we're going to have to start deleting unactivated accounts every week or so because they're building up pretty quickly and activation really ain't that hard. But in the mean time I've manually activated all the new accounts I could see that seemed to be legit, so there was only like one guy with an e-mail address in Russia or something that didn't get activated.
