Sheesh it's been a while since we've had a front page post! There's not really much of an excuse aside from being pretty busy over the past month. I've had uni, Cam has had work, and Liam has been whooping ass at kickboxing apparently.

To sum up what's been going down in bodyboarding, Benny Player has taken out the Arica event and Shark Island this year in an impressive spurt of form. Congratulations goes out to BP and we all wish him well on bringing the world title back to Australian soil, which he is thoroughly set up to do. On a lighter note, many users will remember Mister Player's distaste for some of my journalism. He wrote a letter in response to a forum topic I wrote about him, and responded with something to the effect of.

"when I read what you had written, I felt like stabbing you in the eye".

Well....look who's laughing now I guess? No hard feelings I hope, Ben. I'm quite sure he won't even remember the incident.

All reports have locals in Yanchep having one of it's best seasons ever - I can't really confirm this as I haven't surfed there for about 5 weeks, but my sources are fairly reliable. If you didn't get the last Riptide Movement, you really should do yourself a favour and nab both. They were both an incredible read with some really fresh (yeah, I said it) pictures and content. Sounds like propaganda but I'm speaking the truth people.

Chris White has given up the film making business indefinately, but has started up a new company called Machdaddy which offers personal training for competiting bodyboarders as well as rental of his jetski and equipment for tow-outs and all sorts of adventures. It could be a really fun idea for a few mates to pool their resources and have a day out. Check out what he's offering on his website www.machdaddy.com.au.

Custom X bodyboards are back and having a quick look at them it seems they're back with a vengence. WA boy Adam Luehman has a dow and polypro model available and it looks sick, so take a gander if you're in the market.

Off the topic, the Simpsons movie is average at best. A couple of spurts of genious, followed by a tedious plot and a disturbingly gay interpretation of Bart. I mean seriously, since when did he turn homosexual? It saddens me. This show has done so much more raising of me than anything else in the world, so forgive me if I'm taking up valuable bodyboarding space for this rant. While on the topic though, I think I might go see Die Hard 4. In fact, I definately will.

My final note for this world record length post is on the topic of the 2007 Bali Freakfest. I'm going, and I think it would be sick if I could coax a few more bodyboardingwa members to come along with me and we'll make a trip of it. The most you will spend is about $1300 including everything, so save those pennie, take October 1-8 off work or school and let's DO this. Check www.bodyboarder.com/bali-freakfest for more details.
